Ombrelle & Dragon's aim is to create a unique, comfortable, beautiful, happy, nurturing, inspiring, poetic and functional space for your child where he / she will feel happy and secure. This space should help him / her develop his/her talents and allow him/her to grow in increasing independence.
Ombrelle & Dragon's creator, Isabelle, believes in introducing the Montessori principles at home. The basic goal of the Montessori method is for the child to become well-balanced, spontaneous and able to use his/her abilities to the fullest. By adapting the child's environment to his/her level, making his/her clothes and toys accessible and practical, he/she can grow in independence and really make the principle of "learning by doing" come true.
Isabelle finds her inspiration through talking with parents and children and through travel and stays abroad in Asia, Latin America, Northern Europe, Mediterranean Europe, Eastern Europe and North Africa.
She believes especially in mixing antics with new furniture. She loves renovating antiques and making them child-friendly. By combining antiques and modern furniture, she creates original space furnished with pieces that can evolve with the child.

safety, fundamental! All the paints we use for renovation are non-toxic paints. Framed watercolors and pictures all use shatter-proof plastic which is visually indistinguishable from glass but protects little hands in the case of accidents. All-cotton fabrics are used for bedding materials.

In order to create a unique space for a little one, Ombrelle & Dragon first has a structured yet open minded conversation with the parents and the little one (if big enough to talk!) so as to understand their wishes, dreams, likes and dislikes, and last but not least, their needs.
